Wilford was born right here in Springville, a fifth generation Springville citizen and proud Red Devil alum. Natalie was born and raised in the Salt Lake Valley and is a Bingham High School alum. They met at Brigham Young University and have lived in Springville their entire married life, although Natalie knows she will sadly never be a \u201cnative.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wilford graduated from BYU in the field of accounting in 1977. He has worked in the family businesses of Geneva Rock and ultimately Clyde Companies. He retired in 2023 after 45 years but remains chairman of the board at Clyde Companies.<\/p>\n<p>Natalie took her sweet time in graduating from BYU in the field of design. She finished her degree in 1987 with three daughters in tow. Both Natalie and Wilford are proud BYU alumni and attend many, many BYU events, particularly sports events. They see a lot of ball games involving grandkids!<\/p>\n<p>Wilford is a past Springville mayor and city council member. He has been a member of various organizations such as Springville City Girls Softball (his favorite), the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Utah Associated General Contractors, the Utah Board of Higher Education and the Springville Museum of Art, among other assignments. He has served as president of the Salt Lake Chamber and the Cougar Club.<\/p>\n<p>He loves to be involved in business and community endeavors and is constantly trying to \u201ccut back,\u201d but he loves working with people everywhere. He is looking forward to more golf and watching as many ball games, matches, meets, recitals, performances and celebrations as humanly possible.<\/p>\n<p>Natalie has been involved with the community, particularly youth activities. She has been involved with the Springville Museum of Art, the Children\u2019s Arts Festival, Miss Springville, the Springville Youth City Council and the Springville High School Booster Club and has worked with the Nebo Education Foundation raising money for our kids in the Nebo School District. She is looking forward to more travel, some golf, lots more reading time, less yard work and more involvement with her grandchildren, who are just so fun!<\/p>\n<p>The Clydes have four daughters who now live within the Utah and Salt Lake valleys. Camille Clyde Hafen is married to Jeremy, Melia Clyde Peterson is married to Ty, Alison Clyde Henrie is married to Brandon and Katie Clyde Perkes is married to Tyson. All of their daughters are \u201cnative\u201d Springvillians and all are Red Devil alumni.<\/p>\n<p>Between their four daughters, Wilford and Natalie have four of the best sons in law and 19 amazing, talented, polite, pretty good lookin\u2019 and intensely active grandchildren. They are very grateful for living in the wonderful town of Springville.
