Michael Murphy was known as a CrossFit Enthusiast and had a favorite wor kout that he called "Body Armor" since he did it with a weighted vest. T hat workout would later become "The MURPH".\n\nThe CrossFit company deci ded to officially name the famous workout "The MURPH" in Murphy's memory on August 18th\, 2005 and is known as a Hero WOD (workout of the day).
