Clues posted daily at 9 a.m.

Can you figure out the clues to find the hidden medallion?

Each day at 9 am a single clue will be revealed. Each clue gets you closer to finding a special Springville medallion hidden somewhere in the community.

Each clue is rather cryptic so it requires deductive thinking to put each part together and find the medallion. In past years the medallion has been found out in the open, but sometimes it has been in a public building. There will be a message on the medallion giving specific instructions to the person or group that finds it, which could result in winning valuable prizes including a $50 gift card and a basket of Springville Swag.

Clues are released one at a time Monday through Thursday mornings at 9 am, and a final clue if necessary may be given on Friday if the medallion hasn’t been found by then. Be aware that only 1 person knows where the medallion is hidden, so asking questions will not be helpful. Be very specific in your search as you get closer to finding the medallion, but most of all have fun!

Hunt 1

Monday, June 9th

To find today’s treasure first you must find.
A small road shaped like a six or maybe a nine.

A strong child grant, and two double you’s too.
Will help you to know you are onto this clue.

And four pint sized scoopers, and a green dozer of fun.
All this nearby where the river does run.

You might see three cowboys, and horses of two.
And spotting the hobbles will help to assure you.

Now don’t be too gruff — wise to let your brothers pass first.
Look under the pass, on a hill, don’t get gobbled up in his thirst.

Hunt 2

Tuesday, June 10th

There’s a fork in the road that is Springville fame
Near the split where left leaves right
A place where service above self is claimed
A park with an emblem that turns is in sight.

There’s a backstop fence to keep balls in play,
And several places to swing.
Grass to explore and a cable style rail.
And twelve tables set in a ring.

Start in the place for a blaze that is set in a round,
A good way to keep so many friends hotter.
Then take fifteen paces once you’ve found
The route from fire to water.

Now keep moving on, a dozen steps more
To become a treasure hunting king.
You’ll know you are there once you have stood
In the center of a tree fairies bling.

Hunt 3

Wednesday, June 11th

You will spy the treasure’s resting place when you have stood,
On a lookout cap that’s round, in an enclosure of wood.

Here paths start and stop, and some of them loop.
Roll on through to pump up, but don’t let your speed droop.

With a camel on your back, a serpent on your right.
Note bridges of wood and also tunnels, yellow, blue and white.

Sis turn of one you can stand on, two you cannot.
Cogs that are carved will mark the spot.

The stream will flow and jump here, but no salmoning please.
Find this treasure in a root of a fillet with many teeth.

Quick! Snap a picture, then re-hide this prize.
