Online Building Permit Application & Plans Submission

The Building Division Office Specialist’s hours are 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. To request an inspection, use the online portal at any time, or call during these hours. Inspection requests left by voicemail outside of these hours may not be addressed until the next day.

In accordance with Utah Code, the Springville City Building Department will provide an inspection within three business days (Monday through Friday) of receiving a request. If an applicant requests an inspection date beyond this three-day window, the Department will provide the inspection on that specifically requested date. Please note that any request submitted between 5:00 p.m. on Friday and 11:59 p.m. on Sunday will be treated as received on the following Monday.

A 2% surcharge is applied on all credit & debit card payments.

Building permits are required before beginning projects to enlarge, repair, change, add to or demolish a structure, and to install equipment or systems in a structure.

Please view the guidelines for when work is exempt from permits in the state of Utah.

Building permit applications will be reviewed after a complete application is submitted with all of the required documentation. To review submittal requirements and instructions, please see the information below.

Plan reviews are done on a first-come-first-serve basis. Only complete applications will be considered for review. Electronic plans are required to be non-secured to allow additional comments from City Staff.

Same day inspections are not provided.

ALL sewer lateral inspections (Commercial and Residential) are required to be on water test at time of inspection.

Please schedule your inspection through City Inspect or call 801.489.2704 to schedule an inspection. It is recommended that you schedule inspections 48 hours in advance as inspection times are not always available the next day.
