Registration is open for Air Dry Clay, Bagpipes Beginner, Board Games, Fall/Halloween Crafts, and Robotics (Limited spaces available per class).
Could your child be a sculptor at heart? Find out in this six week air-dry clay sculpting class! With unique prompts each week, your child will learn how to make several different types of sculptures. All materials provided, your kid will just need to bring their creativity!! Space is limited to 10 per class so sign up now.
Now is a great time to learn the bagpipes! In this 10-week beginners’ course, you will learn the fundamentals, rhythms and nuances of bagpipe fingering and execution on a practice chanter, which is the first step to playing the bagpipes! Easy to follow step by step instruction is key to having a good time playing and enjoying the wonderful music of the Highlands!
*Some musical background is helpful but not required to take this beginning bagpipes course.
Board games can help build brain power, teach social rules, and improve focus. Kids get to learn and play board games together for 1.5 hours each week. All necessary class materials are included. Classes will be held on Thursday afternoons for a total of six weeks.
Kids will be able to complete a fun craft project each week, including Fall & Halloween themed crafts. All necessary class materials are included.
I Love Robots!! A hands-on class for building and playing with robots. Learn how robots evolved, how they work, and how to control them. All class materials are included.
Registration is online 24 hours a day and 7 days a week through the Rec1 system. Users must create a family account and log in to register. If you have difficulties with Rec1 online registration, please call the Rec office during regular business hours at (801) 489-2730. If you forget your password, please call and it can be reset. Please do not create multiple accounts to register your participant. Most registration problems can be solved quickly over the telephone. Recreation staff can help by phone, so coming to the office isn’t necessary unless you are paying with cash or a check.
