Registration is open for Bagpipes 2 Class (Limited spaces available per class).
Bagpipes 2 (Skill Building) Class:
This is an 8-week follow up course to the Beginning Bagpipes class. You have now learned important fundamental skills to navigate the practice chanter! This course will build on those skills and will guide you through the next steps to becoming a proficient bagpiper through rhythm, embellishments and tune literature. Beginning Bagpipes 1 is a prerequisite for this course. Practice chanter is required.
- Ages 12 and up, Max 15 people per class
- Total 8 weeks on Tuesdays, 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM – March 10 through May 5 (No class on April 7 during Spring break)
- $40 Fee / plus $60 for a Chanter if needed (to learn finger placement over holes for each note)
- Held at the Summit Center (165 S 700 E) Timpanogos Room. Use the North West entrance across from the Skate Park.
Rec1 Online Registration
Registration is online 24 hours a day and 7 days a week through the Rec1 system. Users must create a family account and log in to register. If you have difficulties with Rec1 online registration, please call the Rec office during regular business hours at (801) 489-2730. If you forget your password, please call and it can be reset. Please do not create multiple accounts to register your participant. Most registration problems can be solved quickly over the telephone. Recreation staff can help by phone, so coming to the office isn’t necessary unless you are paying with cash or a check.
