Garbage Pick-Up Schedule
Springville City Solid Waste Division of Public Works provides residential curb side garbage collection service on a weekly basis. Please make sure garbage cans are put out on the street no later than 7 a.m. on your garbage collection day or route day to avoid a $43.93 return pickup fee. Garbage cans must be placed on your side of the street in front of your residence.
Please call the Solid Waste Division of Public Works at (801) 491-7867 with questions or if you have an issue with your garbage collection services. There is a $43.93 fee if the garbage truck has to come back to pick up your garbage or if you request an extra garbage or recycling pickup, on both the garbage and recycling services.
When requesting an additional garbage can, you are agreeing and committing to having your additional garbage can for at least six months at the current monthly service fee/rate.

Garbage Day
All residential Solid Waste in Springville is taken to the local transfer facility, located at 518 West 3450 North, Spanish Fork Utah 84660. If the Transfer Station is open, garbage will be picked up as usual. For more information about the Transfer Station, call (801) 489-3027 or look up their web site at www.suvswd.org.
Please be aware that the time of day the garbage is picked up may change or vary from week to week. Garbage cans must be out on the street by 7 a.m.

2026 Holidays
Beginning January 2026 the following will be the NEW Holidays that will delay garbage and or recycling pickup by one day. If the holiday is observed on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday then garbage and or recycling will be delayed by one day. Several previously observed Holidays will NO LONGER be OBSERVED. The following list below will be the only holiday’s observed by the Solid Waste Department, drivers will run the garbage and or recycling routes on a regular schedule unless it is a listed holiday below. ONLY the following HOLIDAY will be effected beginning January 2026.

- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
Transfer Station
Individuals may take garbage to the local transfer station facility located at 518 West 3450 North, Spanish Fork, Utah. The transfer station is open Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Do’s and Don’ts of Garbage Cans
Do
- Place can(s) on your side of the street in front of your residence. (Unless otherwise specified by your driver).
- Place can(s) in street on flat surface where it cannot roll back into curb and tip over.
- Place can(s) facing forward as arrows show.
- Make sure the lid of can(s) are completely closed – no overflowing can(s).
- Have can on the road/street by 7 a.m. ready for service.
Don’t
- Don’t place can(s) on the opposite side of street for collection – they will not be dumped. (Unless specified by your driver).
- Don’t place can(s) within 8 feet of a parked car or trailer, mailbox, tree, etc.
- Don’t place can(s) within 8 feet of a second can or neighbors can.
- Don’t overfill can(s) to the point the lid won’t close completely (if the lid can’t close completely, you are responsible for the spilled garbage).
- Don’t place green waste or yard waste in the can(s) (the City has a green waste recycling center).
- Don’t place construction materials in can(s) (boards, bricks, concrete, etc.).
- Don’t place hazardous materials in can(s) (acids, paints, batteries, ashes, etc.).
- Don’t place boxes, bags, etc. around the can(s) (the Garbage Truck can only pick up cans).
- Don’t place any sort of metal item in the can(s) (poles, chairs, umbrellas or exercise equipment). No metal of any kind.
