Placements for Baseball & Softball

There are no requests in a sport that has placements; you will be drafted by the coach. Come to placements dressed to play and bring a glove. Coaches will watch participants do drills with running, throwing, catching, and such.

Upper leagues begin practices after placements once teams are formed. Cleats are optional, no metal cleats allowed.

EVERYONE MUST ATTEND PLACEMENTS. Please read new draft policy below.

Softball:

Falcon (3-4th grade)- Monday, March 30 at 5:00 – 6:30pm at Springville Fieldhouse, 1015 East 900 South.

Filly (5-6th grade)-Monday, March 30 at 6:30 – 8:00pm at Springville Fieldhouse, 1015 East 900 South.

Fox (7-9th grade)-Thursday, April 2 at 5:00 – 6:30pm at Springville Fieldhouse, 1015 East 900 South.

Baseball:

Mustang (3-4th grade)-Wednesday, April 1st at Memorial Park, 200 South 600 East. 5:45pm for 4th Grade/6:30pm for 3rd Grade.

Pinto (5-6th grade)- Tuesday, March 31 at Memorial Park, 200 South 600 East. 5:45pm for 6th Grade/6:30pm for 5th Grade.

Pony (7-8th grade)-Thursday, April 2 at 7:30 – 9:00pm at Springville Fieldhouse, 1015 East 900 South.

For boys in Pre-K through 8th grade. Games are played from mid-May through tournaments in early July. Coach Pitch and T-Ball will practice starting in May, and games are scheduled through the month of June. Registration cost includes a team jersey and hat. Players are responsible to provide their own cleats, gloves and pants. Leagues are based on current school grade. Mustang, Pinto, and Pony leagues are limited to Springville residents only.

High School Baseball & Softball

The Colt and Phoenix leagues primarily play against other cities from south Utah County. Some travel to games is required. Leagues run the month of June through mid-July.

Adaptive VIP Program

Participants will play on smaller fields and with buddies. Cost is $25 per participant and includes a uniform shirt and hat. There is no non-resident fee for this program.

Games will be played in June.

Rec1 Online Registration

Registration is online 24 hours a day and 7 days a week through the Rec1 system. Users must create a family account and log in to register. If you have difficulties with Rec1 online registration, please call the Rec office during regular business hours at (801) 489-2730. If you forget your password, please call and it can be reset. Please do not create multiple accounts to register your participant. Most registration problems can be solved quickly over the telephone. Recreation staff can help by phone, so coming to the office isn’t necessary unless you are paying with cash or a check.
